The People Behind the Work
Renata Osei
Renata has spent her career in independent retail and publishing, working on the programming side at bookstores and as a publicist coordinating author tours. She brings a practical understanding of what works in the actual day-to-day of running a bookstore event, not just the theory of it.
Her focus is on the structural questions — how event programs are designed, how they connect to inventory management, and how stores build the institutional capacity to run events consistently without burning out their staff.
Marcus Delacroix
Marcus focuses on the relationship-building and data sides of the consulting work. He has a background in school library programs and community partnership development, which informs how he approaches the school and library partnership work.
He also leads the measurement framework design — building the data collection and analysis systems that help stores understand which events are actually working and which ones are costing more than they return.
